Shake up fitness routines with ZUMBA at Schaumburg Park District

Running on a treadmill can be so boring!

Shake up your fitness routine and take a ZUMBA class at the Schaumburg Park District! The unique combination of Latin music and salsa rhythms creates a fast-pace and fun exercise routine for ages 14 and older.

Class sessions are six weeks long. Classes will be held from 7:30 to 8:30 p.m., Tuesdays, July 16 to Aug. 20 and 7:30 to 8:30 p.m., Thursdays, July 18 to Aug. 22 at the Community Recreation Center, 505 N. Springinsguth Road. Another class will be held from 8:30 to 9:30 a.m., Saturdays, July 20 to Aug. 24, at Meineke Recreation Center, 220 E. Weathersfield Way.

“ZUMBA creates a party atmosphere,” said Jennie Bever, fitness supervisor for the District. “You get fit without realizing that you are truly exercising!”

Cost per class session is $62 for residents and $82 for non-residents. Participants who enroll in more than one class will receive a 20 percent discount.

Pre-registration is required. Registration is available at parkfun.com and at District registration facilities.
