Find flags and enjoy ice cream July 1 at Schaumburg Park District

Celebrate the land of the free and the home of the brave!

Flags and ice cream will be featured at the Schaumburg Park District's annual Independence Day: Find the Flag Scavenger Hunt from 6 to 7 p.m., July 1 at Ken Alley Safety Park, 421 N. Springinsguth Road. American flags and other patriotic symbols will be scattered throughout Safety Park during the scavenger hunt.

“Children are encouraged to wear red, white and blue attire.” said George Grey, manager of Bock Neighborhood Center. “Participants will redeem what they find on the scavenger hunt for prizes.”

Participants should arrive on time because the hunt will happen first. Participants will enjoy an ice cream treat after the hunt.

This event for children ages 1 to 6 will run rain or shine. Participants should dress accordingly for weather.

Pre-registration is required by June 30. Resident cost is $5. Non-resident cost is $7. Registration is available at District registration facilities and online at parkfun.com.
