Rolling Meadows High School stages ‘Grease’

Rolling Meadows High School brings the high-spirited, rock ’n’ roll fun of the ’50s to the Gilbert Theater when its spring musical, “Grease,” hits the stage for three more performances May 10-11.

All performances begin at 7:30 p.m., with an additional 2 p.m. matinee on Saturday.

When popular tough guy Danny (actor Marty Quinn) and the “goody-goody” Sandy (Korinne Yonan) go back to school after a summer fling, Sandy finds that Danny is a different boy than the one she knew over the summer.

A talented cast and ensemble, colorful sets and costumes, and memorable song and dance numbers make this production a must-see for all ages.

The director is Kate McNally; technical directors, Brad Kahler and Chip Mahlman; choreographer Reggie Good; vocal director Caitlyn Walsh; pit orchestra director David Kohut; house manager Sheila Kolodzik; costume/make-up director Kimmi Drendl and musical accompanist, Alice Belmont.

Tickets are $10 for the evening shows and $5 for the Saturday matinee. To buy tickets in advance, call (847) 718-5615.
