First of its kind in the Midwest: Lutheran General Physician Becomes Midwest's First to Perform Robotic Single Site Hysterectomy
As one of the national leaders in robotic surgery, Charles E. Miller, MD is once again bringing surgical innovation to his patients as he became the first physician in the Midwest to perform a hysterectomy using the single site approach for robotic surgery. Recently approved by the FDA, this revolutionary surgery not only offers the traditional benefits of robotic surgery such as a shorter recovery time, less complications including blood loss but it is a virtually scarless surgery performed through the belly button.

Although just a handful of women around the country have undergone a robotic single site hysterectomy, their overwhelming response has been very positive, including minimal recovery time.
