Des Plaines Acknowledges National Association of Letter Carriers (NALC) Food Drive
The 21st Annual National Association of Letter Carriers (NALC) Food Drive will be held in Des Plaines on Saturday, May 11, 2013. Residents are urged to donate nonperishable food items to be picked up by their letter carrier and by community volunteers on this day. Food collected during this event will benefit Des Plaines residents in need who are clients of the Self-Help Closet & Pantry (SHC&P) of Des Plaines which is located at 600 E. Algonquin Road. Food collections will be made throughout the country. The event remains the largest nationwide one day food drive.
