Finding Dr. Right will match patients with expert physicians

ARLINGTON HEIGHTS, Ill. (April 15, 2013) – Northwest Community Healthcare (NCH) is hosting a “Finding Dr. Right” event for busy people who want to conveniently meet one-on-one with prospective physicians.

The “Finding Dr. Right” event is scheduled in Schaumburg from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. on Thursday, May 2, at the NCH Medical Group, 455 S. Roselle Road. This brand new office with advanced electronic medical records technology and Family Practice physicians is conveniently located next to NCH's immediate care and diagnostic imaging facility. NCH Physical Rehabilitation services are also located in the same building as the NCH Medical Group.

“Finding Dr. Right” makes it fast and easy for area residents to locate a new physician for themselves or their families. It's free, and even a little fun. A group of experienced internal medicine and family practice doctors will be on hand as attendees spend a little time with each one to determine who is right for them.

“Finding Dr. Right” is based on the concept of speed dating, which involves brief chats with potential suitors. In this case, prospective patients will talk with each primary care physician for five minutes and learn about a physician's approach to healthcare before talking to the next physician. (Attendees should not seek medical advice during these brief sessions.)

Physician referral specialists will be on hand to help coordinate next steps when community members find a doctor who meets their medical needs. Complimentary light refreshments will be available.

Seats are limited at this free event, so registration is required by calling HealthConnection at 847.618.4YOU (4968). Attendees can also register online by visiting NCH's website at nch.org.
