Eric Wilcox has been fighting melanoma since March 2010. With his wife Tracie, they have 3 amazing children and live in the Schaumburg area. Eric was diagnosed with Stage IV melanoma in 2012, when the melanoma spread to his liver. In January 2013, they found out that the melanoma had spread to about 20 areas of his brain.

Tracie started Willie's Defensive Line, a non-profit organization to raise money for education and research for melanoma. Its main focus is to help bring more treatment options to the Chicago area. All profits will be donated; they do not keep any of the funds raised.

For this event, they have chosen to donate all profits to Skin of Steel of Glenview. Skin of Steel based on par with the level of expertise on the Coasts. Too often Chicago patients cannot get top tier treatment locally, yet melanoma is now the fastest growing cancer world-wide with 1 person dying from it every hour, and with 1 in 5 Chicagoans developing skin cancer, Skin of Steel is focused on improving this situation for Chicago. Learn more at www.skinofsteel.org.

If you would like to make a monetary donation, make checks payable to Skin of Steel in Eric Wilcox's name. You can also make direct donations on the skin of steel website, but please be sure to include Eric's name!

We are not sure what the outcome of Eric's illness will be, but we know that Eric is a fighter. Please help us get the word out to help tackle melanoma! Be a part of Willie's Defensive Line!
