Naperville Township voters support aggregation
Naperville Township voters have given their elected officials the ability to negotiate an electricity aggregation deal in hopes of paying a lower rate than they currently pay with ComEd.
With all precincts reporting, 57 percent of voters approved the measure.
Township Supervisor Gary Vician has estimated aggregation could produce cost savings for the nearly 1,000 unincorporated households.
Township officials made the decision to put the issue to a vote after a similar plan produced significant savings in the township’s waste collection services.
