Celebrate Literacy! Event Raises Money for the Glen Ellyn Children’s Resource Center

Celebrate Literacy!

The Glen Ellyn Children’s Resource Center announces the 3rd annual literary event on Wednesday, November 7th from 9:15-11:30 at the St. Petronille Parish Center, 420 Glenwood Ave., in Glen Ellyn.

Barbara Rinella is back! Treat yourself to a wonderful morning celebrating literacy. Barbara, a former teacher, defines herself as an “academic entertainer”. For many years she has been celebrating literature and learning through her delightful programs on current books. Ms. Rinella will present her brand new program on Pulitzer Prize winning author Robert Massie’s biography, Catherine the Great: Portrait of a Woman. Come to Russia to meet this powerful Empress, who is the only woman in history given the surname “the Great”.

Tickets are $50 and need to be purchased in advance. Either get your tickets online at www.gecrc.org or send a check, payable to GECRC, to:

Let’s make this year’s event the most successful ever! All proceeds will benefit the Glen Ellyn Children's Resource Center. The mission of the GECRC is to help local children from low-income families acquire the necessary skills in academics and social interaction to move successfully through grade school into adulthood.
