Des Plaines Emergency Management Division Coordinator recognized

Beverly S. Carroll, for the Des Plaines Homeland Security and Emergency Management Agency, was recently recognized by the Illinois Emergency Management Agency for successfully completing the application process to renew her Illinois Professional Emergency Manager Accreditation Program certificate.

The renewal process requires completion of additional online and classroom training courses covering a wide variety of emergency management-related subjects.

In addition, Carroll was required to provide documentation identifying that she served in a lead role during a preparedness exercise or a real event.

The recognition was made by Jonathon Monken, the Illinois Emergency Management Agency Director, and Russ Thomas, Illinois Emergency Services Management Association President, at the 16th Annual Illinois Emergency Management Conference, September 4-6, 2012, in Springfield.
