Hoffman Estates to kick off homecoming with 5K run Sunday

Hoffman Estates High School will hold the Hoffman Homecoming Hustle 5K run/walk on Sunday, Sept. 30 to support the high school’s athletic department.

All money will go toward uniforms, leadership camps, equipment and defraying travel expenses for athletes advancing to regional and state competitions.

Register from 6:30-7:30 a.m. and the race begins at 8 a.m. The race will start behind the high school and will travel the streets of Hoffman Estates.

Awards will be given to the first-place male and female adult finishers and first-place male and female student finishers. Several prizes will be raffled off immediately following the run. T-shirts will be given to the first 500 participants to register.

The cost is $25 adults, $10 for high school students and alumni of Hoffman Estates High School who are still in college. Runners under 12 are free.
