Mundelein High staffers win awards:

Mundelein High School staffers received seven awards from the Illinois chapter of the National School Public Relations Association at a Sept. 21 luncheon ceremony in Oak Brook. Awards of Excellence were presented to: Alexander Kapotas and Kent Meister for a video about the 2012 retirees; Kristin Trapp, Kathryn Serby and Ron Girard for the school website; Paul Havlik for the Mundelein High Foundation brochure; and Girard for the 2012 graduation book. Girard also received Awards of Merit for his work on the employee newsletter, the staff recognition program and the Mundelein High profile, which is sent to colleges and universities with transcript requests.
