Retired teachers to meet

The Lake County Retired Teachers Association will host its annual fall luncheon on Oct. 9 at 12:15 p.m. at Maravela’s Banquets, Route 59 and Grand Avenue, in Fox Lake. The cost is $22 per person and attendance is by reservation only. Highlighting this program will be Carolyn Wehner, pianist and vocalist. She performs a concert of songs drawn from easy listening and early pop/rock hits of the 1950s and 1960s ranging from Johnny Mathis and Andy Williams to The Carpenters, Carole King and Elvis Presley. There will also be the monthly meeting and updates on the latest news concerning retired educators in Illinois. LCRTA members have received mail-in invitations.
