Northwest Suburban Bar Association Hosts Federal Tax CLE Session

Timothy Hughes, a tax law partner at Lavelle Law, Ltd. in Palatine will moderate a Continuing Legal Education session for attorneys on September 11. The event will take place at the Forest View Educational Center in Arlington Heights on September 11th, from 5:45 to 9:00 p.m. A light dinner is included.

Joining Hughes on the panel will be Leigh Roadman of the law firm of Martin, Brown, Sullivan, Roadman & Hartnett, Ltd., who will speak on the topic of how to represent a client in criminal tax matters. Roadman's firm includes a Practice Group devoted to federal and state civil and criminal tax administrative practice and litigation. Kerry Lavelle, who founded Lavelle Law and has focused much of his practice on matters of taxation, will address the subject of post-divorce resolution and defenses for federal tax debt. In addition to moderating, Hughes will discuss representing clients before the IRS Collections. Hughes currently serves as the Chair of the Federal Tax Committee of the Northwest Suburban Bar Association.
