Spring Valley's Concert at the Cabin set for Sept. 8

Pack a picnic and head to Merkle Log Cabin for an evening filled with music.

Merkle Log Cabin at Spring Valley will host a free concert for all ages from 5:30 to 8 p.m., Sept. 8. The Spring Valley Concert Band will perform under the shelter on the wooded grounds as evening settles in. They will play a variety of musical selections from Oscar and Hammerstein, John Philip Sousa and more. The music will begin at 6:30 p.m.

Participants may pack their own picnic. Picnic fare and beverages also will be available for purchase. Some picnic table seating will be available. Guests may also bring a blanket or lawn chairs.

Parking is available at Spring Valley Nature Center, 1111 E. Schaumburg Road. Merkle Log Cabin is a 10-minute walk from the Nature Center parking lot.
