Man robs West Chicago bank
A man who robbed a West Chicago bank Tuesday morning is believed to be the same person who robbed a Bloomingdale bank last week, according to police.
Police said the man robbed a Fifth Third Bank at 1800 N. Neltnore Blvd. about 10:35 a.m. Tuesday.
The man passed a note to a teller demanding money and left the bank on foot heading east toward Route 59 with an undisclosed amount of money, according to West Chicago police.
The suspect is described as a white man approximately 25 to 35 years old, between 6 feet and 6 feet 3 inches tall with a muscular build. He was wearing a tan “newsboy” hat, a dark long-sleeved shirt and dark pants with white piping down the sides, according to police.
He is described as having a colorful tattoo along the right side of his neck.
Police said a suspect matching the physical description robbed a BMO Harris Bank on Lake Street in Bloomington Thursday and exhibited similar behavior during the robbery.
