Lombard Storm Update

LOMBARD, Illinois—More than 5,600 Lombard residents are still without power this morning as a result of Sunday's storm.

ComEd reports that Lombard is considered among the hardest communities hit. There are 440 ComEd crews deployed and more than 180 crews from their mutual aid system, with more on the way, helping to restore power.

Before downed wires can be addressed, the brush and fallen debris must be cleared away from the area, which is what Lombard Public Works crews are addressing. In addition to focusing on downed wires, the neighborhood streets proximate to Madison Meadow Park are also being attended to in preparation of traffic for the Taste of Lombard and July 4 fireworks.
