Kickball challenge, cookout set for Aug. 3 at Bock Neighborhood Center

Take me out to the kickball game!

Whether you are a Sox or Cubs fan, everyone is sure to get a kick out of Schaumburg Park District's new Sox Fans vs. Cubs Fans Kickball and Cookout Challenge from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m., Aug. 3 at Bock Neighborhood Center, 1223 W. Sharon Lane.

This local Crosstown Classic will have participants ages 8 to 13 playing kickball to determine which team ranks supreme.

“This will be a kickball battle royal,” said George Grey, Bock Neighborhood Center Manager. “Both Sox and Cubs fans should come out, represent their teams, play kickball, eat stadium food and have fun!”

A one game winner-takes-all-challenge will determine which team has the best fans. After the game, kickball players will enjoy a hamburger or hot dog, drink and chips. Participants should dress in their signature “Cubby Blue” or “Good Guy in Black.”

Cost, including food, is $10 for residents and $15 for non-residents.
