Summer festivals, Mexican-Brazilian fusion, and a tribute to stars of the 1950s highlight this week’s The Suburbs This Weekend with Sean Stangland and Richard Battin.

Changarro opens in West Chicago. A new Mexican-Brazilian fusion restaurant is now open in West Chicago serving dishes such as memelas with shrimp, pear squash and chipotles and Brazilian chopped beef with carrots, green beans and bacon. Tortas made with adobo marinated pork loin, grilled pineapple and lettuce and pan-seared tilapia tacos such also are on the menu. Owner and manager Ricardo Santos formerly managed the bar at the popular Bien Trucha in Geneva. Changarro serves lunch and dinner Tuesday through Saturday and lunch on Sunday. Changarro is at 1400 S. Hot air balloon rides, food, entertainment and fireworks are part of the fun at Lisle’s Eyes to the Skies Festival at Community Park, 1825 Short St., Lisle.
