Consumers Credit Union Introduces Gary Marconi As New Facilities Manager
Waukegan, IL, June 19, 2012: Consumers Credit Union (CCU; $610 Million, Waukegan, IL) recently introduced Gary Marconi as the credit union's first Facilities Manager. Mr. Marconi brings a wealth of knowledge and on-the-job experience about facilities maintenance and management to the newly-created position at the Member-owned credit union.
Marconi's assumes a wide-range of responsibilities in his new position. The overall goal is to streamline and centralize facilities maintenance in order to lower costs and increase operating efficiency. His primary objective is to work with the credit union's six branch Managers to assure the credit union's facilities are in top shape. In order to effectively manage that process, Marconi negotiates all maintenance contracts and scheduled services. He is also responsible for securing, maintaining and repairing real estate properties received from foreclosures.

Gary Marconi has more than 20 years of experience in virtually every aspect of property management and building maintenance. His background includes positions as a Concrete Foreman/Finisher, an Excavator and a Carpenter. He also has experience working with electrical, plumbing, sewer and water – all skills required for him to handle his day-to-day duties. Marconi also knows what it's like to be an entrepreneur, having served General Contractor, Superintendent, Estimator and Project Manager alongside his father for their family-owned company, Marconi Construction.
Marconi attended and graduated from Wauconda High School; during breaks, one of his first jobs was working in the steel and masonry industry. He later attended Northern Illinois University where he earned his Bachelors of Science degree in Business Management. He is a 20-year resident of McHenry, IL, where he lives with wife Vickie and sons Austin and Nicholas.
