4-year-old dies after being pulled from Glenview pool

A 4-year-old boy died Friday afternoon shortly after being removed from a Glenview Park District pool.

According to Glenview police, who are investigating the death, the boy was pulled from Roosevelt Pool, 2239 Fir St., by a lifeguard and taken to Glenbrook Hospital, where he was pronounced dead at 3:49 p.m.

Police were releasing no further information Friday night. An advisory posted on the Glenview Park District’s website at 3:45 p.m. Friday stated the pool would be closed for the “remainder of the day.”
