NCH celebrates cancer survivors at 11th annual event

Cancer survivors, caregivers, family and friends are invited to celebrate survivorship together as Northwest Community Healthcare (NCH) hosts its 11th annual Cancer Survivor Celebration from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. on Sunday, June 24.

The celebratory event will be held at the Arlington Heights Senior Center at 1801 W. Central Road (at Wilke Road) in Arlington Heights, just west of the hospital campus. This year's theme is “Hats off to Survivors” and there will be a prize for the best hat. Activities include a DJ, dancing, games and free raffle prizes. Several of NCH's Animal-Assisted Therapy teams will be on hand, too.

NCH will supply the main dishes and drinks, while attendees are asked to bring an appetizer, salad or dessert to share. There is no admission fee to the event. For more information and to register, call NCH at 847.618.6660 by Tuesday, June 19.
