Jacobs announces 1st Hall of Fame class

The Jacobs High School Athletic Hall of Fame has announced its inaugural class, which will be inducted Friday, Sept. 14. The first class includes nine former Jacobs athlete and one former coach.

The inductees include athletes Sarah Ahnen Rappaport (1999), Kelly Becker (1980), Kim Kelly (1987), Jorie Miguel Fontana (2000), Tom Schafer (1983), Joe Scime (1978), Mark Slimko (1985), Matt Whalen (2002) and Pat Whalen (2004) as well as longtime girls volleyball coach Don Biagioni.

The Jacobs Athletic Hall of Fame is dedicated to the outstanding athletes, teams, coaches and supporters who through their athletic accomplishments have brought honor and recognition to themselves, Jacobs High School and the community.
