Larkin ousts Elgin
Larkin d. Elgin: Dylan Martinez had 5 aces and 4 kills and TJ Weaver added 5 kills and 4 blocks as Larkin defeated Elgin 25-13, 25-10 in the Class 4A Larkin boys volleyball regional Monday night. Tim Yang had 12 assists and 4 digs for the Royals, who take on Lake Park in the semifinals tonight.
Bartlett d. South Elgin: Mike Gulczynski had 9 kills, 2 aces and 3 digs abnd Bryan Sanchez 14 kills and 6 digs as Bartlett downed South Elgin 25-18, 25-23 in the play-in game of the Elk Grove regional. Andrew Harris added 26 assists and 6 digs for the Hawks, who play host Elk Grove in the semifinals tonight.
