Street Theatre performs 'The Brave Little Tailor'

The whole family can enjoy free theatrical performances throughout Schaumburg this summer.

Schaumburg Park District Street Theatre will begin June 4 at Addams School, 700 S. Springinsguth Road, with performances of "The Brave Little Tailor." The play follows a timid tailor who is turned to when the royal family and frightened townspeople are threatened by three fierce giants. Aware that the country's fair princess is in danger, the tailor is determined to face his foes by using his wits. His trickery works and in a series of hilarious slapstick encounters, the giants defeat themselves. The brave little tailor becomes the country's hero and wins over the princess, kingdom and audience.

Street Theatre performs every Monday, Wednesday and Thursday at 7 p.m. at locations throughout the District.

June 7 at Blackwell School, 345 N. Walnut Lane

June 11 at Bock Park, 1223 W. Sharon Lane

June 13 at Town Square Amphitheatre, Schaumburg Road and Roselle Road

June 14 at Meineke Park, 220 E. Weathersfield Way

The audience is encouraged to bring a blanket or lawn chairs.
