Second-half surge lifts Stevenson

The Stevenson offense came alive in the second half in a 5-1 girls soccer victory over Mundelein on Monday.

The Patriots scored 4 of their goals in the second half.

Katie Krejsa assisted on three of them, which were scored by Olivia Whalen, Kara Ballard and Jenna Weiner. Weiner then assisted on a Megan Petrick goal and Haley Green got an assist from Haley Goldstein.

Stevenson goalkeeper Cori Calcaterra had 6 saves.

The Patriots are now 12-5-1.

Lake Forest 2, Lake Zurich 1: Lake Forest rallied from a 1-0 halftime deficit with 2 second-half goals.

Morgan Dakarian scored Lake Zurich’s only goal on a Vanessa Abad assist. Meanwhile, Lake Zurich goalkeeper Eleanor Daleske had 8 saves.

The Bears fall to 10-7-1 overall.

Grant 3, Round Lake 1: Morgan Evins scored Round Lake’s lone goal.
