Live at the Lake summer series starts in June

The Des Plaines Park District announces the 2012 Live at the Lake FREE! Summer Entertainment Series for children and families. The 2012 Live at the Lake Summer Entertainment Series features seven crowd pleasing music and dance shows. Audience participation is applauded and families are encouraged to come out early for Art in the Park, and to picnic and play in the park.

Barefoot Hawaiian: Professional, authentic Polynesian-style performing troupe of dancers and drummers.

Art in the Park: Kids are invited to make a free craft project before the concert.

Thursday, June 28, 7:00-8:00pm

Des Plaines Park District Community Concert Band: A musical evening of classics, movie scores and popular hits.

Jeanie B!: Rockin' music for kids and families.

Art in the Park: Kids are invited to make a free craft project before the concert.

Thursday, July 12, 7:00-8:30pm

AC-Rock: Chicago's premier a cappella quartet singing classic rock 'n roll from the '50's - 80's.

Wednesday, July 18, 7:00-8:00pm

Artistry in Motion Dance Company: The Des Plaines Park District's own award winning dance company performing a mix of jazz, ballet, modern, hip-hop, and tap numbers.

Super Stolie (and the Rockstars): A musical treat for the whole family - original songs, nursery rhymes, and pop songs, keep kids jumping, singing, and clapping along.

Thursday, July 28, 7:00-8:30pm

Jin and Tonic Band: Chicagoland's favorite country band covering everyone from Taylor Swift to Alabama.
