Schaumburg Summer Dance Concerts return June 1 to Town Square

Spend the first Fridays of the summer months dancing at Town Square.

Schaumburg Park District's free Schaumburg Summer Dance Concerts will kick off June 1 at the Town Square gazebo, located at the corner of Schaumburg and Roselle Roads.

“The concert series is back by popular demand,” said Cultural Arts Supervisor Beth Waller. “Last year's series was a blast for the whole family and this year will be even better!”

Arthur Murray dance instructors will lead free introductory one-hour foxtrot and tango dance lessons from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. The Eddie Harrison Quartet will follow the lessons with live music and dancing from 7:30 to 9:30 p.m.

The July 6 concert will feature swing and triple swing dance lessons with a performance by Paris Swing and the August 3 concert will feature salsa and bachata dance lessons with a performance by Guitarra Azul.
