Mundelein H.S. business club earns state honors

A number of Mundelein High School Future Business Leaders of America students earned first-, second- and third-place awards at the state competition held recently.

First-place winners include: Adam Vander Ploeg and T.J. Maple, Digital Design; Christina LaFleur, Economics; Michael Schwarzhaupt, Anthony Doretti and Nick Doretti, Entrepreneurship; and Edward Salse, Steven Slaughter and Mary Breeden, Management Decision Making.

Second place winners are: Steven Chin, Networking Concepts; and Ben Nicholson, Business Procedures.

Third place: Chris Cygnus, Intro to Tech Concepts; Bryan Schwab and Justin Daoey, Marketing; Steven Ferro, Public Speaking I; Daniella Feijoo, Word Processing I; and Steven Chin and Kristin Doering, Talent Show.

Other members who placed were Janine Abuyan, Zach Brown, Aakash Choubal, Emily Colon, Lauren Corso, Matt Cushman, Matt DeLeon, Ryan Eifert, Nate Green, Mac Holmes, Helen Jung, Luke Nicholson, Jonathan Schmitz, Lauren Sison and Andrea Stoll.

The FBLA National Competition will take place in June.
