Teen Drug Use Symposium May 9 at Stevenson

Stevenson, Buffalo Grove, Libertyville and Vernon Hills high schools are sponsoring "Saving Our Children," a community symposium on adolescent drug use, at 7 p.m. Wednesday, May 9 in the SHS Performing Arts Center. Admission is free.

The symposium will feature presentations and discussions about the reality and consequences of adolescent drug use, and guidance for community teens and families. Presenters scheduled for the evening will include: Lake County Associate Circuit Judge Daniel Shanas, Lake County Assistant State's Attorney Suzanne Willett, and representatives from the Lake County Metropolitan Enforcement Group, the Buffalo Grove and Lincolnshire police departments, and the office of Congressman Robert Dold.
