Mundelein’s break begins with a win

Mundelein’s girls soccer team got its spring break trip to Myrtle Beach, S.C., started on the right foot.

Cristy Nambo scored twice, and Michelle Chernesky had a goal and 2 assists, as the Mustangs shut out Carolina Forest 6-0 Wednesday.

Megan Carroll and Jasmine Ader added a goal and an assist each for Mundelein (1-3), which will play a second game, against North Myrtle Beach, on Friday before returning home. Kelsey Hiegel also scored, and Stephanie Swiatkiewicz contributed an assist for the Mustangs.
