Lake Park Golf Course Opens for the Season

Lake Park Golf Course, 1015 Howard Street opened for the season on March 24. The 18-hole, par three course opened one week ahead of schedule due to the Spring-like temperatures. “We have had people calling since the middle of March when the weather turned,” said Brian Panek, Manager of Golf and Facilities. “We are excited to be open during District 62's Spring Break so young golfers can get a jump on the season. The sporty course has holes that range from 50 to 115 yards,” he said, “making this the perfect place to practice short game skills.” Adult resident weekday fees are $9; senior and youth fees are $7.50. Golfers can also purchase a 10-play card that saves them $10, or new this year, a membership to Lake Park Golf Course for a flat fee of $300. The course is open daily from 8:00am until dusk.
