Pinstripes celebrates the waffle
It's waffle day at Pinstripes' Sunday brunch buffet starting at 10 a.m. March 25. The pressed-to-order Belgium waffles come in three flavors: sweet apple cinnamon, balsamic and berries, and bananas foster and Nutella. $24 adults, $14 kids; kids 5 and younger eat for free.

Wild Onion at Tokio Pub
Lake Barrington's Wild Onion Brewery takes over Tokio Pub for a four-course beer dinner at 6:30 p.m. Monday, March 26. The liquid side of the menu includes Hefty Weiss, Paddy Pale Ale, Hopslayer Double IPA and Jack Stout while tempura shrimp, Naoki's Godzilla roll and Japanese fried chicken are on the solid side. $30 per person. Dobby's wine tours
Dobby's World Wide Liquors will be hitting the road with a series of five wine dinners at area restaurants. First up, Le Titi de Paris Tuesday, March 27. A reception begins at 6:30 p.m. followed by dinner at 7. The meal includes an assortment of hot and cold appetizers, rustic tart of caramelized sweet onions, bell peppers, bacon and tomatoes, slow braised beef short ribs with Rocky Mountain elk and apple sausage, and a dessert of toasted almond profiteroles. It costs $59 per person, including tax and gratuity.
