This picture was taken while vacationing in Colorado at the Ice Castles in Silverthorne, near Breckinridge. The ice formations are man-made formed by fusing icicles together to create a lattice of icicles upon which water is sprayed resulting in the magnificent ice castles. I particularly like this picture because the person in the foreground (my friend, Paula) lends perspective to the actual height of the formation. I also like the image of the tall evergreen through the opening in the ice castle.

I took this picture a few years ago walking through Paris. I really like this nighttime view of the Musée du Louvre through the Louvre Pyramid. When youre there during the day its hard to imagine a time when its so peaceful and quiet.
