'Lights, Camera, Auction!' to benefit early childhood education
Guests will get the red carpet treatment while supporting early childhood education at the spectacular “Lights, Camera, Auction!” fund-raising event hosted by Bridges Montessori Academy and Bridges Academy at 6:30 p.m. on Saturday, Feb. 25.
The movie-themed event will be held at the St. Charles Country Club, 1250 Country Club Rd., in St. Charles, and will include light dinner fare, an open wine and beer bar, dessert and a champagne toast. The highlight of the evening, however, will be the the silent and live auctions featuring such fabulous items as a week in a private Jamaican villa, a landscaping overhaul, Bulls tickets, an i-Pad, a private fishing excursion and much, much more. Items offered by the children include a hand-painted Monet-inspired garden bridge and a “Gone with the Wind” photograph of the children. Tickets are $75. All are welcome.
All donations will be used to support Bridges' library foundation, The Brite Foundation, which serves children through literature-based curriculum, technology programs and a library/resource center for both St. Charles schools.
Bridges educates more than 100 children a year in preschool through 5th grade, serving families from St. Charles, Geneva, Batavia, Wayne, Elburn and the surrounding communities.
