CL South nips Grant

Sophomore Sara Mickow had 14 points and 16 rebounds to lead the Crystal Lake South girls basketball team to a 43-42 win over Grant Monday night in the play-in game of the Class 4A Prairie Ridge regional.

The Gators (12-17) will take on top-seeded Cary-Grove at 6 p.m. Wednesday in the first semifinal.

Rachel Rasmussen and Stephanie Melone each had 9 points for CLS.
