Family fun Jan. 22 at Addison Park's WinterFEST

The Addison Park District invites you to the second annual WinterFEST, Sunday, Jan. 22 at Community Park from noon to 4 p.m. Admission to this event is free and participants will enjoy a variety of family-friendly activities both indoors and outdoors. Outdoor activities are weather-dependent and may be slightly modified in case of a lack of snow.

Outdoor activities include ice skating, sledding, snow volleyball, snow golf, a family snowman-building contest, and s'mores roasting station between noon and 4 p.m.

Please bring your own ice skates to experience the new outdoor ice rink at Community Park. Teams of four are invited to sign up for a snow volleyball tournament between noon and 2 p.m.

Winter “fashionistas” can enter a crazy hat contest at 3:30 p.m.

Enjoy warm hospitality with friends and family indoors while decorating cookies, participating in the children's craft area or savoring samples of complimentary Culver's chili. Additional concessions are available for purchase.

Kids of all ages will enjoy a magic show by Ronald McDonald at 1 p.m.

Additional entertainment includes BINGO beginning at 1:30 p.m., face painting and more kids' activities in the gymnasium at Community Rec. Center featuring an inflatable bounce house and obstacle course.
