Driver not hurt when car flips on ramp to Rt. 53

A vehicle flipped on the ramp from the Elgin-O’Hare Expressway to northbound Route 53 about 9:30 p.m. Friday.

The car was found by Illinois State Police in a ditch.

Trooper Bruce Orns said the towing company would have the vehicle towed by 10:30 p.m. and that the man in the vehicle was not injured.

Elk Grove Village and Schaumburg police were en route to the scene when they learned state police did not need assistance.
