Des Plaines community band rings in the holidays

The Des Plaines Park District Community Concert Band will perform at 3 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 11, at the Prairie Lakes Theater under the direction of Lawrence J. Carle.

The band, a talented collection of more than 50 local musicians, will perform songs of the season as well as selections from the their wide repertoire of Broadway tunes, movie scores, popular hits, patriotic marches and classical compositions.

Tickets are available at the door for $5, $3 for seniors and students and $12 for a family of four.
