Second-half surge carries Mundelein

Mundelein trailed at the half but outscored Grant 31-15 in the second half to claim a 48-35 victory in tournament play Wednesday at Mundelein.

Freshman forward Natalie Busscher led all scorers with 14 points, junior guard Becca Woit had 13 and senior guard Taylor Davis 10 for the Mustangs (2-3).

Woit was named to the all-tournament team.

Senior guard Morgan Jahnke paced Grant (1-4) with 10 points, and senior guard Kassie Stimpson had 8. Jahnke made all-tournament.

Grayslake North 50, Tinley Park 37: At Mundelein, Joanna Guhl scored 20 points and all-tournament pick Kendall Detweiler added 12 points on four 3-pointers for the Knights (2-3).

Highland Park 57, Prairie Ridge 52: At Mundelein, Lena Munzer scored 33 points, including 19 in the fourth quarter, for the Giants.
