Last year: 11-17, 4-8, fifth in West Suburban Silver; lost 72-47 to Glenbard East in Class 4A Glenbard East regional final.

Scouting report: The Mache twins are back for one more run, and this could be the best team yet for the pair. Six-foot-six Michael Mache returns nearly 20 points and 6 rebounds from last year. With Matthew Mache and 6-8 Pat Mazza also back, Glenbard West presents a tough frontcourt. Mazza, with a 7-1 wingspan, especially looks bound for a big year. The backcourt also looks to be in good shape with Levesque healthy the Hilltoppers were 10-10 with him last year and 1-7 without him. Taylor, Montgomery and Loftus provide Glenbard West a wealth of experience. "We're in much better shape going into this year," Hoder said. "We're not starting from scratch."
