Wood Dale resident wins Chevy Cruze from Biggers Chevrolet of Elgin

Wood Dale resident Leisha Zak, along with husband Pete and daughter Bridget, recently picked up her shiny new prize – a 2011 Chevrolet Cruze - from Biggers Chevrolet in Elgin.

Biggers sales managers Jason Seger and Ron Leggero presented the keys to her. Leisha Zak was the grand prize winner in the 2011 Windy City Rubber Ducky Derby to benefit Special Olympics Illinois.

Her rubber ducky came in first during the annual race that took place on Aug. 11, when more than 30,000 ducks splashed into the Chicago River from the Columbus Drive Bridge and raced toward the finish near Michigan Avenue. The Chevrolet Cruze was donated by Biggers Chevrolet and Clover Technologies to help benefit the year-round programs of Special Olympics Illinois for children and adults with intellectual disabilities.
