A big night of music at RMHS

Student musical talent will be on display at 3 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 23, in the Rolling Meadows High School field house as the Music Department presents its Fall Concert.

The program features performances by the RMHS Concert Choir, Beginning Choir, Madrigals, Men’s and Women’s A Cappella groups, combined Choirs, Jazz Band II, Jazz Ensemble I, and the Orchestra.

Jamey Kelley is the choral director; Christopher Buti, director of bands; and Joshua Stewart, orchestra director.

Featured selections include “Swing Down Chariot,” “St. Louis Blues,” “A Little More Time,” “If I Were A Monk,” “Sometimes I Feel Like a Motherless Child,” “With Gratitude,” “The Promise,” “Pegasus,” “Tshotshotloza,” “Famine Song,” “Stand By Me,” Holberg Suite, “Moorish Fantasy,” Music from “Apollo 13,” “Procession of the Nobles,” “The Storm is Passing Over,” “Bonse Aba,” “In Remembrance,” and “Walk Together Children.”

Tickets may be purchased at the door for $5. Snacks will be served and beverages are available for purchase.
