Ross Dress for Less now open on Randall Road

There weren't any in the area before this month.

But as of Saturday, Oct. 8, there are now two Ross Dress for Less locations along the Randall Road corridor, and 10 more locations throughout the Chicago area.

As part of its Midwest debut, Ross Dress for Less opened two stores along Randall Road Saturday, in Algonquin and South Elgin.

Saturday also marked the grand opening of Ross Dress for Less' 10 other Chicago-area stores in Arlington Heights, Bloomingdale, Crystal Lake, Matteson, Naperville, Niles, Orland Park, Schaumburg, Skokie and Rockford.

Ross is billed as a discount store with designer fashions, footwear, accessories, home goods and more.

“For those who have never been to a Ross store, Ross Dress for Less is about more — more stores, more brands and more savings on fashions for the family and the home,” said Megan Alley, public relations consultant for Ross Dress for Less. “Every item in the store is priced 20 percent to 60 percent off the same brands carried in department and specialty stores.”

Alley added that for those who have never been inside of a Ross Dress for Less store, they should expect to find a fun and easy shopping experience.

“Our stores are specially designed to be easy to navigate and to help make your shopping experience convenient, easy and fun, and we offer unbeatable savings,” she said.

While Ross Dress for Less is new to the Chicago area, many locals have visited the stores in other states. Ross has more than 1,000 stores in 27 states.

The Algonquin spot at 1812 S. Randall Road fills the vacancy in Algonquin Commons left by the former Circuit City store.

The South Elgin location, at 484 Randall Road, is near the intersection of Randall Road and Thornwood, in the same shopping center at the Super Target.

Store hours are 9:30 a.m. to 10 a.m. daily, except Sunday, when stores open at 10 a.m. and close at 9:30 p.m.
