A fundraiser benefiting Rosie Colucci, a 7-year-old Palatine girl fighting brain cancer, will take place from 3:30 to 8 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 1, at Holy Family Parish, 2515 Palatine Road, Inverness.

A Benefit for Rock Star Rosie will directly support her care and treatment.

The event will include food, DJ, raffles, auctions, kids activities, makeovers and more. Admission is $18 for adults, $7 for ages 6 to 14 and free to kids 5 and under.

Rosie's mom, JoAnne, said her daughters' efforts have inspired hundreds to give more than $300,000 for Children's Memorial Hospital, Children's Tumor Foundation, Pediatric Brain Tumor Foundation, SuperSibs! and other groups.
