Elgin Genealogical Society to meet Oct 4

Elgin Genealogical Society will meet Tuesday, Oct 4, 2011 at 9:30 AM in the first floor meeting room of Gail Borden Public Library, Elgin,IL. After a brief meeting, Teresa S. McMillan will present "Holy Cow, Where Are My Chicago Catholics Now?" Where are those hard to find and disappearing Catholic ancestors who lived in the Chicago area? This program provides clues for finding them! Teresa is founder of Lind Street Genealogical Research, a company dedicated to locating German-American and Chicago area ancestors. She also specializes in translating German church records written in old German script. Come to hear her strategies and clues which could be helpful to anyone.
