Page Turners discuss 'In Defense of Food' Sept. 20

The College of DuPage Page Turners and Community Farm will host a discussion of the book "In Defense of Food: An Eater's Manifesto" on Tuesday, Sept. 20, at 3:30 p.m. in Follett's Bookstore on the first floor of the Student Resource Center on the Glen Ellyn campus, 425 Fawell Blvd.

In his new book, Author Michael Pollan poses the question, “Where is the food in our food?” He then provides a series of clear, thoughtful answers to help his readers navigate through the modern definition of “food.”

Through years of research, Pollan demonstrates that many food items marked “healthy” and convenient are appallingly low in nutritional value.

All are welcome to attend this free event.
