Des Plaines troupe to hold auditions

The Des Plaines School of Dance in-house dance company, Artistry in Motion, is holding auditions for company members in second to 12th grades Saturday Sept. 10 and Thursday, Sept. 22.

On Sept. 10, dancers in grades two-four can audition for Company 4 (Petite Dancers) from 3-4:30 p.m., and dancers in grades five through seven can audition for Company 3 (Junior Dancers) from 4:30-6 p.m., in the Prairie Lakes Theater, 515 East Thacker St.

On Sept. 22, dancers in grades eight and nine can audition for Company 2 (Intermediate Dancers) from 4-6:30 p.m. in the Prairie Lakes Aerobics Studio, and dancers in grades 10 through 12 can audition for Company 4 (Senior Dancers) from 6-9:30 p.m. in the Leisure Center Dance Studio, 2222 Birch St.

Artistry in Motion is a high energy, emerging dance company that performs twice a year, a fall and a spring dance concert, in the Prairie Lakes Theatre, as well as in competition, and at local venues. The first performance of the season will be at the annual Winter Spectacular at the Prairie Lakes theater on Dec. 16 and 17.
