Mountain View rolls out the green carpet for Des Plaines VIPs

Mountain View Adventure Center is rolling out the green carpet for Des Plaines VIP's (very important putters.)

The Des Plaines Park District announced the completion of the re-carpeting of the 18-hole miniature golf course located at 510 East Algonquin Road, just in time for the Fall season. The new turf allows for a smoother trajectory toward the hole, and a beauiful upgrade to the course. “The adventure course is fun, yet challenging, with a combination of par 2 and par 3 holes, making this perfect for golfers of all skill levels,” said Shelli Sarg, Facilities Manager. “Each hole also has a new sign that depicts the layout of the green and its obstacles,” she said.

Mountain View Mine mini-golf course is designed with a mining theme, complete with creeks, bridges, rock formations, and waterfalls that keep it breezy and cool. It is a destination for families, corporate outings, and fund raising events. The course is open through the end of October, and has special pricing for a second round played on the same day.

In addition to the mini-golf course, Mountain View Adventure Center is home to two free Skate and BMX bike parks, six batting cages that feature slow to fast pitch for both baseball and softball, and acres of open space for play.

On Sept. 10 and Oct. 1, Mountain View Adventure Center will host Late Night in the Park, a supervised night of fun, from 7 to 11 p.m. for children in grades 5-10.
