Stevenson Foundation Announces Children's Theater Series

The Stevenson High School Foundation has announced the lineup for its annual children's theater series, featuring SHS students in the cast and crew. "Darius the Dragon" will be performed Sunday, October 23, and "Jungle Book" will take the stage Sunday, March 18. Tickets for both shows are $5, and can be ordered by calling 847-415-4121.

"Darius the Dragon" will take place in the West Auditorium, with performances at 1 and 3 p.m. The play is about a medieval dragon unearthed from his peaceful underground cave by a bulldozer and thrust into the modern day.

"Jungle Book" follows the familiar story of Mowgli, a young boy raised by wolves who must stop a man-eating tiger from taking control of the jungle. The play will be held in the Little Theater of the Performing Arts Center, with performances at 11 a.m., and 1 and 3 p.m.

The children's theater series is supported by these Foundation sponsors: Huntington Learning Center, Northwest Community Healthcare and Tamarak Day Camp.
